Custom and industry standard heat sinks are available with fabrication and
plating to meet your design requirements.

D6 can provide you with a fully integrated assembly to your drawing and fully tested to the extent possible at its level. With materials supplied by the customer, D6, or a combination of both, you will receive a finished subassembly. D6's value added services include thermal compound screening, silicon pad application, fan attachment, and other heat sink sub assembly preparations. D6 specializes in high performance heat sinks that include "Air Cooled" utilizing Bonded Fin technologies and "Liquid Cooled" utilizing copper and aluminum cold plates.

bonded fin heat sink assemblies D6 offers a full line of Bonded Fin heat sink assemblies with mounting brackets, schrouds and fans as well as the complete assembly with the components installed. The heat sink shown at the left is Bonded Fin with a device mounting surface of 10.78 inches wide by 17 inches long. This unit is cooled with two fans and has a thermal resistance less than 0.022 degrees centigrade per watt. See table below for other sizes.

D6 offers a line of high aspect ratio bonded fin heat sinks and assemblies.
Bonded Fin heat sinks offer as much as 30% greater cooling effect then their extruded counterparts for the same cubic space required. D6 offers a line
of both Standard and Custom bonded fin heat sinks. We can provide a full thermal profile and recommended heat sink size to meet your specifications. Presently we offer this line in sizes of 2" to15" base plate widths cut to any
required length meeting your space and thermal requirements.

Assemblies shown above utilize 120mm and 80mm fans.  Bonded Fin Heat Sinks are available for Full Brick size DC/DC power supplies with and without fans attached.

The bonded fin heat sinks shown above are designed with two base plates for mounting semiconductor devices. The two plates are spaced to accommodate
the square dimensions of the fan. The larger assembly has an additional top
plate for lower power devices. A very efficient and compact assembly.

D6 offers this series of 2.25 by 2.25 2 pass cold plates to meet the demanding needs of the power dissipation presented by IGBTs and Power Diodes. This plate provides  a "U" pattern of 2 passes.  A substantial area  is cooled by 2 tubes and copper inserts, therefore providing for a low thermal resistance between the device or devices and the liquid coolant.

D6 1,000 watt resistor cold plates are designed to accommodate power resistors up to 1,000 watts.   The cold plates come blank or drilled & tapped to accommodate the resistors.

D6 offers this series of 5 inch wide 4 pass cold plates to meet the demanding needs of the power dissipation presented by IGBTs and Power Diodes. The 5” wide plate allows for 1 or multiple rows of devices with the tubing prepared in a serpentine pattern of 4 passes.  A substantial area of each device is cooled by 4 tubes and copper inserts, therefore providing a  low thermal resistance between the device or devices and the liquid coolant.

D6 offers this series of 10 inch wide 6 pass cold plates to meet the demanding needs of the power dissipation presented by IGBTs and Power Diodes. The 10” wide plate allows for 2 rows of devices with the tubing prepared in a serpentine pattern of 3 passes and then continuing in a second 3 pass pattern. A substantial area of each device is cooled by 3 tubes and copper inserts, therefore providing low thermal resistance between the device and the liquid coolant.

Copper Cold Plates "HYDROBLOKS"

D6 offers a line of precision designed and manufactured "HYDROBLOKS". This line of cold plates is designed for high performance cooling of IGBTs and DIODES. The line is available in a large variety of sizes ranging from single IGBT packages to multiple IGBT and DIODE packages. The line is approximately 1/2" thick with the mounting area slightly larger than the product mounted on it. This line is solid copper silver brazed with a silver plate finish. There are two inputs and two outputs available to allow for easy series or parallel flow.  The HYDROBLOK shown has an isothermo resistance of 0.0045c/w measured from liquid to the block surface. The surface is flat to <1.5 mil across the mounting face.
